Indigenous Community Support Service

The Indigenous Community Support Service (ICSS) has been operating in Taree, Port Macquarie and Wauchope, with outreach to Wingham and Gloucester, since 2010. The Service, aims to promote the Safety and Wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, their families and their communities.

ICSS staff support client self-determination and the development and fostering of relationships with other service providers.

Our staff conduct holistic client intake and develop Case Management Plans in collaboration with clients. These may include advocacy, liaison and referral.

Assistance can be provided in areas such as family violence and court support; family welfare and social support; housing and health issue; referral to drug and alcohol services; support with housing, child care and legal issues.

Accessing ICSS

We accept self-referrals and agency referrals. All referrals are strictly confidential. TIDE provides a welcoming, culturally appropriate environment for clients, with free access to telephones, computers, Internet and fax machines.
